Burnt House Field Cemetery (Lee Family Estate)
Coles Point, VA

This is the oddest and most charming grave I’ve visited. It’s a small brick enclosed family cemetery, literally, in the middle of a cornfield, about a mile off the road. If you go to visit this site, you’ll probably think you’ve made a wrong turn, because you’ll be driving down a dirt road through someone’s farm. Rest assured, at the end of the road you’ll find the Burnt House Field Cemetery.
